Skoda Rose To 26.4 Percent In January


Skoda Auto rose to 26.4 per cent in the first month of 2011 by rolling out 68,400 cars  over the 2010 sales for the same time period which was 54100 cars.
The Czech Republic is growing with its winning car models the hatchback Skoda Fabia showed an accelerating growth of 30.9 per cent and Skoda Superb up by 80.3 per cent scored high on demand in the starting of the year. Skoda also accounted to a high double digit digit growth in China, Russia and India.

Jürgen Stackmann, the Skoda Board Member for Sales and Marketing said that Skoda is on an excellent pace of growth in 2011 as well. The company wishes to achieve double sales by 2018. The increasing sales percentage clearly depicts that the path is right. Skoda Fabia has achieved a renowned name worldwide. In India every second car sold from the Skoda outlet is Skoda Fabia.

In its home ground, Czech Republic Skoda sold 4200 car models registering a growth of 1.2 per cent over January 2010 sales figures. Skoda Supeb Combi recorded sales growth of 234.7 per cent by rolling out over 400 car models in Czech Republic. Skoda Octavia sales increased to 37.3 per cent and for Skoda Octavia Combi rose to 37.0 per cent.

Skoda in few of the Central and Eastern European auto markets reported double digit sales increase. In Hungary the sales raised to 71.1 per cent, in Croatia to 59.1 per cent. In Slovakia Skoda lead to 1000 car models registration, marking a market share of 22.4 per cent over 15.6 per cent in January 2010.

In Western European auto market leaving Germany Skoda Auto was able to post a strong growth. In the region the sales increased to 22.4 per cent by rolling out 19,200 units over 15700 units in January 2010. In Netherlands Skoda rolled out over 3,000 cars in comparison to 600 cars in the same time period last year, while Belgium rose to 120.2 per cent, Sweden recorded 35.6 per cent growth, Ireland rose to 31.4 per cent and Austria accounted to 15.4 per cent. Individual auto markets such as Turkey raised to be over 300 per cent, Israel rose to 75.7 per cent and in Australia Skoda scored 25 per cent sales growth.

The highest sales were recorded in Indian, Chinese and Russian auto markets. China it accounted to be the biggest foreign auto market by rising to 40 per cent touching a mark of 20500 car models, in Russia it doubled its sales figures by rolling out 3400 car models over 1800 car models in January 2010, while in India it achieved a mark of 60.8 per cent by selling 2800 car models.
