The new Evo X-influenced face of the forthcoming revised Mitsubishi Outlander has been revealed in the form of the Outlander GT Prototype, which is due to be officially unveiled at next week’s New York motor show.
This blurry teaser image, released by Mitsubishi, shows that the Outlander GT Prototype will feature the company’s ‘jet fighter’ corporate grille, which is also seen on the Lancer Evolution X and new Colt.
The compact SUV concept is essentially the same as the revised Mitsubishi Outlander, which is due on sale in 2010, although European-spec cars won’t get the concept’s 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine.
The concept features what Mitsubishi calls an Idle Neutral Logic system, which automatically places the gearbox in neutral when the car comes to a standstill.
UK prices and specs for the revised Outlander range have yet to be confirmed.
