Yesterday we got wind that the Chevrolet Cobalt SS sedan and Impala SS won't survive past the 2010 model year due to the General's restructuring measures.
Well, the bad news keeps coming, and GM officials have revealed that three more will join the list, including the Chevrolet HHR SS panel van and Cadillac STS-V. Production of the HHR SS panel van will culminate next June 2010, but we wonder how many more they'll have to make to keep up with demand. The standard HHR SS will continue to be avaliable.
The decision to axe the 2010 Cadillac STS-V is immediate and couldn't have been too difficult either, with the new 2010 CTS-V arriving in showrooms across the country -- a car that embodies the V spirit much more successfully.
Never afraid to state the obvious, GM is also listing the Pontiac G6 GXP as a goner for 2010 (you know, like the rest of the Pontiac brand).
Still, we're sorry to see the departure of any performance models from GM's North American lineup.
