The number of visitors crossed the expected figure of 18 lakh by 2 lakh. This time the number of exhibitors also came in good number which also a record for Auto Expo. The very first day of the Auto Expo was dedicated to new launches and displays of vehicles. Totally, around 25 new vehicles were launched in the gala event at Pragati Madan. However, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers took this tally to over 100. 15 concept vehicles were showcased in the event. Almost all the domestic and international auto makers took part in the show which includeMaruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Fiat, Jaguar andLand Rover, Skoda, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, MercedesBenz, Toyota, Honda, mahindra and Mahindra, Premier Motors, Renault, cheverlet, Hyundai etc. On the other hand, two-wheeler makers displayed their new and existing vehicles at the show. This is the bright part of the scene but the dark portion has a different story. The organisers were anticipating big crowd and exhibitors at the show but arrangements were not done in accordance. As a result, there was a big trouble when visitors started to step in the pavilions. The visitors had to struggle to have a look of the displayed products. They were gifted by jostling and pushing especially in front of BMW, Audi and Skoda pavilion, BSA Motors and DY-DC pavilion. Around 5 to 6 feet area was left open for visitors in above mentioned pavilions. One way also added to discomfort of the visitors. Many exhibitors were complaining about the arrangements and management. Apart from this, less toilets, less food courts were another major problems. Even the management of the Auto Expo could not keep the venue neat and clean which was made filthy by brochures, water bottles, used papers etc.
