Mahindra Verito is like an old whisky in a new bottle. After redefining Mahindra Renault Logan as Mahindra Verito and moving the logo of Renault the car manufacturing company from France, Mahindra and Mahindra finally launched the Mahindra Verito on Indian roads upgraded with petrol and diesel models. The price segment of new Mahindra Verito as decided by Mahindra and Mahindra will range between Rs. 4.82 lakhs to 5.62 Lalkhs.According to the statement given by Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive Automotive Division of Mahindra and Mahindra, the new Mahindra Verito with its incredible goodwill carries the same features as found in the DNA of the other variants of Mahindra and Mahindra i.e., tough, rugged and sporty vehicles. He also added that for the first time social media platform is used to unveil the new product which is the part of their launching strategy to reflect alternate thinking. When asked about the services of the existing Logan cars in Indian markets he replied that the earlier version of Logan will be given complete service and spares support from the company.
The new Mahindra Verito carries the same engine that was installed in the Renault and offers the same features which were offered by Mahindra Renault Logan viz., spacious, fuel economic and powered performance. With this some additional necessary changes have been introduced strengthening the looks of the new Mahindra Verito as stated by company sources.
The decision of parting from the joint venture was taken mutually by Mahindra and Mahindra and Renault Pvt Limited during last April. Both the companies had entered in the joint venture during 2005 with an objective of producing and selling the Logan in Indian markets, unfortunately the car did not receive the expected response from the Indian customers.
