Porsche has revealed its Black edition Boxster S, which the company is showcasing at the Geneva motor show.
Limited to 987 examples, the S’s 3.4-litre flat-six engine gets a 10bhp boost to 316bhp and 7lb ft hike in torque to 273lb ft over the standard model. That equates to a sprint to 60mph time of 5.2 seconds, a tenth of a second faster than the Boxster S.
As the name suggests, each model is finished in black inside and out with black-rimmed steering wheel, black touches to the dashboard and instrument cluster as well as black roll-over bars, side air intake grilles and twin exhaust pipes.
Other features include lightweight ten-spoke alloy wheels, Black Edition badging, Porsche’s ‘Communication Management’ including sat-nav, MP3 player and Bluetooth and LED daytime running lights.
On sale from March, the Black Edition Boxster S is priced from £47,426. Included in the price is an invitation to the Driving Experience Programme at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone.
