These are the first shots of Toyota’s new mid-sized MPV, the Verso, being put through its paces before launch next year.
The current Verso has only been on sale since 2004, being a heavy facelift of the 2001 Corolla Verso. The forthcoming new car seems to have grown compared to the existing one, and it will share the same seven-seat layout that has become essential for mid-sized MPVs. It will also share its core architecture and running gear with the Auris hatchback.
Other details are sketchy at present, but it’s believed the new Verso will go on sale during the first half of next year.
