These are the first official images of the Skoda Superb estate, which will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show.
The pictures show its Octavia-inspired styling, and confirms that the innovative split hatchback from the regular model will not feature on the estate.
The estate retains the same length, wheelbase and width with the conventional Superb but it is taller at the back. It also benefits from revised rear seating to maximise load space. Capacity details of the boot are not yet available, as details have leaked on to the internet ahead of the car's official launch.
The engine line-up will include the three petrols and three diesels from the current Superb range, linked to five and six-speed gearboxes. DSG dual-clutch transmissions will also be an option.
A model with a Haldex developed four-wheel drive system is also expected to be available; speculation suggests it will be linked to the Superb's 3.6-litre V6 and the DSG gearbox to create a sports estate model.
Skoda has not indicated at any prices, but expect the Superb wagon to start at around £17,000 when it goes on sale next year. This price would represent a significant saving over the £23,745 cost for a standard V70.
