Honda Motors the Japanese auto giant recently unleashed its all new saloon 2012 Honda Civic at the Detroit Motor show, however it is yet to enter the Indian auto market.
The auto company claims that it has changed every nut and bolt in the new sedan. However, the response after the launch was not quite well,but still the sedan has stolen the show in terms of style and technology. The all new Honda Civic 2012 is yet to make its debut in India.
As per the makers of the car, Honda Civic has been designed from the scratch, though the difference is not much. The changes the sedan has acquired are in its headlamps, grille and bumper. The powertrain of the sedan is similar to its predecessors. 2012 Honda Civic 1.8 litre petrol engine churning a power of 40 bhp is adorned in the sedan. Honda promises that the engine in the new 2012 Honda Civic is capable of delivering much better fuel economy than its other models. Honda Civic will be available in two transmission options five speed manual and automatic transmission. Though Honda has always been known for the craftsmanship they hold for its cars 2012 Honda Civic also raises the expectations in the same way.
Honda is expected to launch the Honda Civic Hybrid HF and Honda Civic GX (natural gas) variants along with the petrol variant. Also to add the wao factor Honda Civic Si will be launched for those who are looking for power. The Honda Civic is loaded with 2.4 liter powertrain and expected to produce 200 bhp and maximum torque of 230 Nm affixed with six speed manual transmission.
