4Lectric Renault Concept
Following a competition for the celebration of 50th anniversary of the Renault 4L, the 4Lectric appeared. A version with an environmentally friendly engine out of the ordinary.
A high-tech design
For this 100% electric concept car, Nghiem Charlie wanted to keep the appearance of the legendary 4 L. On the design side, the globes of light 4Lectric kept the round shape, but the LED technology appears now to ensure maximum comfort for night driving. In the middle of the grille, there is the logo of the brand that is enhanced by a background of blue light.
To the rear, the car is diving with a hatch and two tiny lights. Inside, we still find the bluish light that guarantees a peaceful atmosphere for passengers. The concept car is equipped with a head-up display, steering wheel with flat and screen as a dashboard.
A very environmentally friendly engine
The 4Lectric has under the hood of an electric motor powered by two batteries with distinct functions. If the first charge takes care of the engine for each application, the second battery charges in three different methods. Through photovoltaic cells present on the windows and roof of the vehicle, the battery is able to store solar energy.
It can also be loaded via a standard electrical outlet or by induction in a suitable station. The special feature of this car is its social function. Indeed, the battery sends power to the grid. Thus, the entire population can later use this energy.
