These are the first images of the forthcoming Golf VI, which have been leaked online prior to the car's official unveiling at the 2008 Paris Motor Show in October.
Upon initial observation, the new Golf appears to be a very subtle evolution of the current Mark V's design, retaining the characteristic Golf elements such as the C-pillar while adding bits from the German automaker's parts bin. The resemblance with other Volkswagen- branded products is obvious in the grille and headlamps (from the Scirocco, which debuted in Geneva this year) and the taillamps - akin to those on the Touareg SUV. The interior is another cautious, evolutionary progression, again with elements from the Scirocco coupe.
Volkswagen is scheduled to announce the new C-segment car soon and we'll share the details with you once they become available.
