Maruti Kizashi launch slated for 2nd Feb

With a view to explore the luxury car segment, the most awaited model,Maruti Kizashi from Indian auto major is set to launch on 2nd February 2011.
The most anticipated saloon from Maruti Suzuki is designed to suit the Indian customers and employs many advanced technology to make it a best in class option to opt for.

The beautiful saloon is to be brought from Japan plant of Suzuki, the parent firm, and will not include any localised content in its manufacturing. The car is positioned between Toyota Camry and Honda Accord at the above level and below it can be placed names like Toyota Corolla, Volkswagen Jetta and Honda Civic. Thus a range of Rs 12 lakh to 20 lakh is covered with these models.

Addressing the exciting launch Mayank Pareek who is the Managing Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales) in Maruti Suzuki India commented that Maruti Kizashi is an initiative by the company to analyse Indian luxury car segment which will face a tremendous growth in coming times.

As per the estimations made by industry sources, Audi A4 and Audi A5 segment will include an annual capacity of 55,000 units. And this is the segment Maruti Suzuki wants to play with in coming times. Maruti Kizashi is going to help the company analyse luxury car segment.
Mr. Pareek also said that in coming 5 to 7 years, company will be able to stand strong in this market and the officials are looking forward to this market seriously.

Talking about the present position, Maruti Suzuki India holds 50 per cent of Indian car market which amounts to 1.87 million units for last year. Mr. Pareek has also shown interest in manufacturing the beautiful Maruti Kizashi on Indian grounds at later stages.

The saloon from Maruti is powered by a 2.4 litre petrol engine and will be availed in both automatic and manual transmission. The official launch of Maruti Kizashi is decided to be 2nd Feb 2011. as per the company officials, the launch of this saloon is not only aimed for better sales in country but also to bring company's footprints in luxury car segment. Mr. Pareek also commented that India is a huge market for the company and customers are loyal to them which makes an obligation for the company to bring innovative models for them.
