New Honda Civic unveiled at Detroit Motor Show

The talk of Town, Honda Civic in its latest avatar raised the audience from their chairs by disclosing its hidden concept at Detroit Motor Show 2011.
The company claimed that the beautifully designed and perfectly integrated model is for those who love to follow vogue. Giving a new avatar to a forty year old model was a challenge to the company as maintaining the heredity and imbibing a fashion statement is a difficult task.

In order to achieve the big challenge, company used the signature one motion, mono form structure which appears in current models as well but made the body crease more emphasising and prominent. The overall appearance of Honda Civic 2012 model gives a car with bolder stranger and more prominent look. The appearance is made look more sleek as compared to the existing model.

The company has claimed the model to be more compact yet will flaunt the best in class cockpit which will also become the major selling feature of this car. The fuel efficiency of Honda Civic 2012 is also expected to be more efficient in terms of fuel consumption.

The company officials said that this next generation Honda Civic will come with option of three different engines including new Civic Hybrid employing lithium-ion battery technology which will appear for the first time, Civic GX powered by natural gas and a gasoline engine application.
Moreover, Honda Civic 2012 powered by gasoline engines will be accompanied with unique Honda Eco-Assist technology which as per company's claims, help the car give far better fuel efficiency. The launch of this exciting saloon is expected to be scheduled somewhere in middle of year 2012 for Indian Auto market. Honda Civic next generation version is expected to come in petrol and diesel version. The model will bear some changes while entering Indian auto market and some of them are expected to be better rear seat comfort and revised rear-suspension setup. The car is expected to carry a tag of Rs 12 to 16 lakh.
