As all known that due to rising input costs all the Indian car maker like Maruti Suzuki the largest car manufacturer and another key player- Mahindra, Hyundai, Honda etc. have hiked the prices of their cars in India.
Now another auto major Ford, has also hiked the prices of its Small car- Ford Figo by one per cent due to same reason.Commenting on this increment of prices for the Ford Figo, Mr. Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India said that Ford's vehicles are under pressure due to risen input cost so prices for this small cars has been hiked by 1 per cent. He said these hiked prices for the car will be effected from this month. And hiked prices will be effected for both the diesel and petrol model of the Ford Figo.
As per company reports that after the increment for the prices Ford Figo's both variant like diesel and petrol will be available price range of between Rs 3.59 lakh and Rs 5.48 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi. Boneham also said that the prices for another Ford vehicles might be hiked but yet not disclosed.
Ford India reported that this price increment will not make bad effect on the sales of Ford cars. Presently the company is producing producing about 12,000 units every month on two shift bases. And expecting 15 per growth in this financial year.
But it not mentioned that this price increment will be mended on recently displayed 2011 Ford Fiesta or not. It is expected that the car become some more costly than old so this price increment already would be included in it.
