The diesel versions of Honda CR-V and Honda Accord are on the stage of final touch from the company and soon will come out for full fledged sales. Both the variants are expected to enter the Indian auto market by mid end of running year.
With the launch of all new and unique model from German manufacturer, BMW X1 in India, the sales of Honda Accord and Honda CR-V were badly affected and looking at the situation, this is probably the best time to wipe out the models lying under dust by introducing a diesel variant to the car models.
Its been a long that the two exciting model from Honda SIEL's stable, Honda Accord and Honda CR-V are rumored to be getting a diesel variant. The proof to the speculation is that the Honda dealers are claimed to be trained on maintaining the diesel engine cars. The industry source says that the two models will soon get a diesel variant in Indian Auto market which will accelerate better demand for these car models in market.
If speculations are to be believed, the grand Honda CR-V and Honda Accord, will be powered by a 2.2 Liter i-Dtec diesel engine which will be capable of producing about 180 Bhp of maximum power. The engine to be used in the car models is expected to carry a good localised content which will help the company keep a good control on input cost of the model. The company has to work hard in order to make these diesel variants a success in market as the major competitors BMW 320d and BMW X1 have a strong stand in market. The increased localised content will help the company in maintaining a good price advantage and along with that Honda will also have to work on bigger marketing strategies.
