New car: a decrease prices
Last year, EU countries in the list prices of new cars declined by 2.5%. Confirmation of this would be the results of a study conducted by the European Commission, which also contains information on the different situations of the Member States.
In European countries has been the director on a general decline in real prices, although there are countries against the trend. One of these is Portugal, where the contrary would be an increase of 2.6%, while in Italy and Malta the prices would remain unchanged.
The decrease in average list price for new cars bears witness to the existence of effective competition between car manufacturers and, as Joaquín Almunia points out, in what will be taken advantage of consumers first.
